Analysis of various reasons for the increase in refrigeration compressor exhaust temperature

Apr 10, 2025 Leave a message

The compressor exhaust temperature, that is, the temperature of the gas discharged by the compressor after compressing the gaseous refrigerant, is usually maintained within a certain range. By monitoring the changes in this temperature, we can understand the working status of the compressor in a timely manner, thereby preventing possible safety hazards. Ensuring that the compressor exhaust temperature is within a reasonable range is crucial for the stable operation of the refrigeration system. Next, we will explore the five main reasons for the increase in refrigeration compressor exhaust temperature.

Refrigeration system lacks oil
If the lubricating oil supply is insufficient or the system lacks oil, the machine head will not be fully cooled, which will cause the exhaust temperature to rise. To determine whether the lubricating oil is sufficient, you can check the lubricating oil level and add an appropriate amount according to the equipment regulations. If the oil separator is damaged, it needs to be replaced in time.

Failure of the temperature control valve
The function of the temperature control valve is to automatically adjust the valve opening and closing according to the oil temperature. Once the temperature control valve fails, the lubricating oil may be directly sprayed into the machine head without being processed by the condenser, resulting in an increase in the exhaust temperature. At this time, the temperature control valve should be checked and repaired or replaced to restore normal operation.

Deterioration of lubricating oil quality
If the lubricating oil deteriorates, the oil film inside the screw compressor will become thinner and insufficient lubrication will not be formed, which will cause abnormal operation and abnormal noise of the compressor. To solve this problem, the lubricating oil should be replaced immediately.

Heat dissipation barrier of cooling system
If the cooling system is blocked or the heat dissipation is poor, it will cause internal scaling, which will affect the heat dissipation effect, making it impossible to effectively dissipate the exhaust heat, and finally cause high temperature problems. At the same time, damage to the cooling fan will also hinder the timely heat dissipation of the cooling system.

Detection of control line failure
Control line failure may be caused by a variety of reasons, such as air filter blockage, temperature detection system failure, and abnormal operation of the unloading valve. To solve these problems, we need to clean or replace the air filter, check whether the unit load has increased and caused overheating, and adjust the working condition of the unloading valve. In addition, the system temperature detection circuit needs to be inspected, repaired or replaced to ensure that the control line can work properly.
